Ahead of the Blues

I composed this painting on a thrifted landscape painting of a farm, I repurposed this canvas to tell my own story. I integrated the orignal black and white barn element into the final work, it can be seen inside the large blue circle in top left, once thats picked out you can begin the discect the layers above. These layers contain but are not limited to; Paint Markers, Spray Paint, Acrylic, Chalk pastel, and India ink pen. I use the chalk pastel to create an original sense of form over acrylic. Picture a sidewalk chalk masterpiece before and after a rainstorm, your artwork is still present but the colors have bled and the opacity has lowered, I use a spray on workable fixative to create a similar effect throughout my layers of pastel, color, and expression.
